Director blames SFX crew over Asura's Wrath plagiarism accusations

Kung Fu Hustle director Stephen Chow has said he isn't responsible for alleged plagiarism of CyberConnect 2's Asura's Wrath in Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons. Kotaku reports Chow's representatives told Chinese press that any similarities between the film's effects and the Capcom-published brawler are the responsibility of a special effects company. Co-director Derek Kwok is known to have seen the game, though.
