Devil May Cry 5 TGS 2018 trailer is our first look at Dante, new character V

Capcom promised to show off the new Dante in Devil May Cry 5 at Tokyo Game Show 2018, and it has delivered.

You may remember the short teaser at the end of Devil May Cry 5's E3 trailer, showing Dante on a motorbike with only a small flash of gameplay.

Today's TGS 2018 trailer has a lot more to offer. Not only do we get to see Dante in action, rocking his Rebellion sword and Ebony and Ivory handguns, there's also a bit of story about how he encounters the rest of the game's cast.

Dante's bike turns into two blade weapons, and it looks fantastic in motion. Dante's Devil Trigger skill can also be seen towards the end, a little after we get our first look at companions Trish, and Lady.

The trailer ends with a tease of the third playable character, V. Though we don't get to see gameplay of the new character, he looks pretty punk.

Capcom today revealed the Devil May Cry 5 deluxe edition, which comes with four exclusive Devil Breaker weapons, one of which is the Mega Man Mega Buster. There's a better look at the Mega Buster in the trailer below.

Dante is back in DMC5, but Smash Bros. fans are eager to see him join that roster too.

The deluxe edition also comes with behind-the-scenes footage, 12 tracks from Devil May Cry 1-4, alternative style rank announcers and title calls, and Dante's Cavaliere R weapon.

Devil May Cry 5 is out March 8 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
