Re-buy Exotics and combine Legendary weapons in Destiny: The Taken King

Bungie is changing Exotics and Legendaries around a bit in Destiny: The Taken King, so players may wish to visit The Tower often.

When players visit The Tower, they will be able to re-buy any Exotic earned and upgrade them to the new, special Exotics. Each will also have a terminal, but not all Exotics will have a new version. The Suros Regime autorifle will have one.

Players will also be able to take their old Legendary weapons and combine them with the new Year Two models. This is done using what's called an Infuse option, which will make the new Legendary weapons more powerful. It will cost Legendary marks to upgrade.

The signature perk will automatically applied, so there is no long a need to upgrade said perk and each will start out at maximum allowing the player to jump in and use it. There are new talents as well.

Bungie is also adding Exotic Blueprints, which means that each time an Exotic is found, a blueprint will be added to the player's collection.

This is handy in case an Exotic is lost because the "blueprint" can be retrieved from the Vault. The blueprints are account bound so it works with alts.

Also, the Cryptarch, or Crypto-archaeologist as he's formally called, will also be selling Legendary Engrams.

Banshee the Gunsmith will let players "try before they buy" weapons. These can be used in the field, during which the player will also earn a Gunsmith reputation.

This rep can be used to order new weapons from the Foundry each week on Arms Day.

Destiny: The Taken King launches on September 15 for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
