Destiny: The Dark Below introduces a weapon with Arc AND Solar damage
Destiny players will soon have a chance at wielding a weapon capable of firing both Arc and Solar damage. Be still, my heart.
Destiny: The Dark Below adds a pile of new weapons to the shooter MMO. Over on the official Destiny Twitter, mega fan DrCrispy93 (the player chosen to descend into The Dark Below and return with details) is giving details of a few of these delightful additions. One of them, the Murmur, is particularly epic.
If you're not familiar with how elemental damage works in Destiny, we have a handy guide for that - but basically, having the ability to switch from one element to another without sacrificing ammo by swapping whole weapons is going to own PvE, hard.
It's not clear how players will switch elements on the fly, or how this gun is obtained, but believe me, if I pick it up you'll hear about it. Oh, you'll hear.
