Destiny: Rise of Iron - handy tips for the Felwinter Peak mountain platforming puzzle in the Iron Temple social space

If you've yet to scale Felwinter Peak at the Iron temple, here are a few valuable tips.

The Iron Temple at Felwinter Peak has a secret jumping puzzle, which isn't so secret anymore.

Getting to the top is not as easy as you might think thanks to your Guardian's knack for ricocheting off solid surfaces like a pinball off a flipper. And that's where this reddit thread comes in.

The general gist focuses on the respawn after you fall off the mountain (and you will). As soon as you scupper things up and you plummet off the rock face, the key is to not touch the sticks on your controller and if you end up dead on the rocks below, press the button to respawn rather than lying there and getting spawned in automatically when the timer runs down.

"Now, this worked for me like a charm," reads the post. "I reckon 90-95% of falls I was returned to where I fell from. Even if I fell halfway down, tried again, and fell again, I was returned to the original place of falling, the highest point. The important thing is to not touch the sticks even for a second if you fall; and to respawn yourself."

Other general tips from Arrekz's video which I certainly found useful include edging outwards before a jump so that you're not hugging the rockface and don't have a rock above you. Also don't feel like you have to hold down on the jump button. A tap goes a long way in tight spaces.

You can max out the agility on your subclass if you're struggling.

If you take it slow and check for surprise rocky outcrops, you should get to the top in no time. Good luck!
