Destiny's Silver currency is rather popular with PlayStation users

PlayStation users are embracing Destiny microtransactions according to a new report.

Per VentureBeat, Destiny microtransactions landed in the top five over on the PlayStation Store’s list of paid add-on content.

Second and third place entries on the chart are the 2,000 and 1,000 Silver packages, respectively, with Destiny: The Taken King taking the top slot. The lowest prices Silver package came in at number 10 on the chart.

Introduced in October, the Silver currency purchased with real-world money allows Destiny players to buy 18 different emotes.

Packages offered are: 500 Silver – $4.99/£3.99; 1000 Silver (+ 100 bonus Silver) – $9.99/£7.99; and 2000 Silver (+ 300 bonus Silver) – $19.99/£15.99.
