Destiny lore revealed, explored and detailed in Bungie environment walkthroughs

Destiny developer Bungie has revealed a great deal of heretofore undiscussed detail regarding Destiny's world building in a new series of exploratory videos.

One of the most frequent complaints about Destiny is that the story is a little lacking. Although Grimoire cards and secondary materials hint at a complex, deep back story and lore to the shooter, some players feel this isn't communicated well in game.

Helping to fill in this hole is a new series of videos exploring Destinations, narrated by Bungie along with community members to ask the developer burning questions.

The first of these videos explored Venus with MoreConsole, but the second episode, set in the Cosmodrome, is significantly more detailed.

Bungie community manager David "DeeJ" Dague and Destiny lead world artist Rob Adams join the leaders of the Dads of Destiny clan in exploring the first environment players will visit. In discussing the gameplay and technical reasons for the shape of each area, Bungie also reveals and explains a great deal of the narrative content that is built into the environment - but easily missed. There's plenty of concept art to see, too.
