Destiny Iron Banner PvP event kicks off tomorrow

A new Destiny limited time event starts tomorrow - the Iron Banner, a PvP mode where your levelled gear gets a chance to shine.

Destiny PvP players normally meet on an even playing field, but in Iron Banner events they come in with the same powers as they have in PvE.

"Bring your deadliest weapons. Equip your sturdiest armor. The Iron Lords are seeking out the most powerful warriors who call the City their home. For those brave enough to fight (and to win), there will be new rewards to serve as a warning of their prowess in the arena," Bungie wrote in a blog post on Bungie.net.

As well as giving you a chance to smash your foes, the Iron Banner offers various rewards including shaders and exclusive Legendary gear. You'll need to complete bounties to unlock these.

Bungie has launched a dedicated mini-site with more information, while DestinyDB has extensive details on bounties and rewards. There are some great weapons in there.
