Destiny gameplay designer exits for Bethesda

Destiny's senior gameplay designer Josh Hamrick announced on Twitter overnight he would be leaving the company in a week's time for Bethesda.

Hamrick joined Bungie in 2009 after working two years at Midway Austin, where he created multiplayer maps, modified single-player levels, and other designer functions. He was in charge of fixing bug in code to get BlackSite: Area 51 out the door.

Over his career, Hamrick has worked in multiplayer design, UI design, and systems design.

Hamrick didn't divulge what he would be working on at Bethesda, but the company has various games in development at various studios such as the next Doom, Fallout 4, and possibly Dishonored 2.
