Destiny beta to open to all

Destiny's beta is soon to be opened to all and sundry. No codes. No invites.

The Destiny beta client will be made available to download on the PSN and Xbox Live without the need to redeem either a Bungie platform agnostic code or a platform-specific client download code.

You will need an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription, though.

Keep an eye on the store; Bungie said the action kicks off at 4:00PM PDT today, which is just over ten minutes away at time of writing.

The beta was previously restricted to those who pre-ordered the game or who received a promotional code, either in a competition or shared by a friend.

Despite the increasing numbers of player,s the beta experience has so far been mostly smooth, which is probably why Bungie has decided to ramp up numbers by blowing the doors wide open.

The developer is also planning a stress test on Saturday, and will reward everyone who logs in.
