Destiny 2 - the purple ball from the first game makes a big return, but... [spoilers]

The purple ball many grew to love in Destiny 1, has returned in Destiny 2.

If you remember, the opening mission in Destiny 2 showed the purple ball - which players kicked around the Tower for years in Destiny 1 - deflated on one staircase.

Spoilers beyond this point.

The Tower gets destroyed in the opening mission, of course, hence the deflated ball. However, at the end of the game's campaign humanity gets to rebuild. And, with a new Tower comes a new purple ball you can kick around.

But wait, there's more! As discovered by Reddit user VectorAlpha, there are four chekpoints that you can kick the ball through to change its colour, and eventually spawn a much bigger version. If you kick it to the front right of the Tower, it changes colour to green.

Kick it again to the stairwell in the front left to switch the colour to black. Another kick to the back left changes it to blue, and finally, if you bring it to the bridge in the bottom front, it gets upgraded to a much bigger version.

This new version has the shape of the Traveller, too, which is a nice touch. This is just one of the many Easter eggs discovered in Destiny, though some are harder to get than others. The Destiny 2 super high jump Easter egg in the Farm, for example, is harder to trigger than this one.
