Destiny 2: The Dawning is live - go enjoy the festivities and bake some cookies

Just a quick reminder that the Destiny 2 season event The Dawning is live.

Destiny 2 players can jump into The Dawning today and enjoy the festivities through New Year's Day 2019. Yes. It's almost 2019. Try not to get upset.

The Dawning seasonal event features Eva Levante returning to the Tower, which is where players will bake some Chocolate Ship Cookies for their friends.  They will in turn gift you mods, Legendary gear and the Avalanche machine gun.

Earning Triumphs and completing bounties will unlock a cool Sparrow which comes with a Glimmer Boost, Glimmer Trick and Instant Summon -  where you’ll receive Glimmer presents.  Good times.

Players can also expect Double Engram drops from Eververse, with players receiving a Bright Engram and a Dawning Engram when they level up.

No need to worry about duplicates either until you've completed the Dawning collection. Bright Dust can also be exchanged for ingredient packs for baking.

If you're in the mood for something different, this week's Flashpoint is the EDZ, the Crucible Playlist is Mayhem, and Nightfall fans can play Inverted Spire, Strange Terrain, and Tree of Probabilities.

Along with today's new features, Bungie has also updated the game. Upon applying the changes, players will find Prime engrams will now drop more frequently and with larger power bumps for players under 600 Power. An issue where players could not purchase the Annual Pass from the Director node has also been fixed.
