The Moon in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be twice the size of the original

The Moon in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will not only feature new "changes and twists," but it is over twice the size it was in the original Destiny.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep players will find a much larger space has been opened up on the Moon.

According to a new developer diary from Bungie, the available area on the Moon is more than twice that of the original map.

Not to mention the fact it's now haunted, and you can't just call a group of ghost hunters and expect them to deal with it.

Upon returning to the Moon, you will find it has changed to a place full of cracks and new Hive fortress. And the enemies there will have a “psychological horror” element as they are manifestations of the Guardians' past. And you can expect all sorts of Fallen to contend with.

Basically, there is a hidden "darkness" under the Moon which has been discovered by Eros. And she has awoken the "beast." What this beast is, I guess we'll have to find out for ourselves when the expansion releases.

Expect a lot of hidden secrets, learning what happened to those who built the structures, and more when Shadowkeep releases on September 17.
