We’ve finally got our hands on Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and with its release a new selection of sweet sweet exotics are there for the taking. One of the most exciting of which is the Osteo Striga SMG, but how do you get the Ostea Striga in the first place?

Destiny 2 - How to get the Osteo Striga exotic SMG?
To obtain the Osteo Striga exotic SMG, you’ll need to pre-order the deluxe edition of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. This version of the game comes with the Exotic SMG as a bonus for your purchase, alongside Access to Seasons 16, 17, 18, and 19, the two Dungeons released in in year five, and the Throne World Exotic Sparrow!
There's no way of working around this, I'm afriad. Even once you complete the main story quest, you'll only be able to craft the exotic SMG through the weapon crafting system added with the expansion. You'll be given the recipe for free though, so atlest you won't have to go hunting for the gun.

The Osteo Striga is likely the one exotic we've known about've known about the longest, as even before the release of The Witch Queen it had dedicated trailers showing of its special quirks. It has two special abilities attached, these are:
- Screaming Swarm - Fires toxic projectiles that track targeted enemies
- Toxic Overload - Final Blows and precision hits trigger a poisonous aoe burst
