Destiny 2 comes to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S December 8, features a FOV slider

Destiny 2's next-gen optimization upgrade will be released on December 8 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The next generation optimized version of Destiny 2 will feature faster load times, and other upgrades when it releases on December 8.

With the update, you will be able to use a FOV slider for the first time on consoles, and the range will be similar to that on PC. The settings are currently in testing to ensure smooth performance across each platform.

There will also be noticeable improvements to things like loading the game and inspecting character inventory.

However, as Bungie notes, some load times are dependent on networking and matchmaking. This means that loading activities will still take time while you search for opponents.

For cross-generation play, Xbox Series X/S players can play with Xbox One players. PlayStation 5 players can play with PlayStation 4 players.

The next-gen upgrade will be made available for free to next-gen console owners, and the Xbox version uses the Smart Delivery feature.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light releases on November 10. In the expansion, you will also learn more about the Pyramids and the Darkness and participate in new activities.

Alongside this new storyline and destination comes new Statis abilities which are a new subclass for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans. You will also be able to customize your Ghost.
