Desert Bus for Hope 7 raises $522,348 for Child's Play

This year's Desert Bus for Hope marathon raised $522,348 for Child's Play, with the heroic volunteers playing the world's deliberately worst video game for over six days. The scheme has raised over $1.7 million for Child's Play since inception in 2007. Child's Play raised over $2.5 million this year, which it uses to purchase games and toys for hospitalised children, which have been demonstrated to assist in treatment and recovery.
