Dead Space on iDevices hits January 25, gets previewed

deadspaceipad

Back in October, EA announced Dead Space 2 was hitting iDevices January 25 and that it would bridge the gap between the first and second game in the series.

Today, the publisher has released screenshots for it, which you can feast your eyes on at Slidetoplay, along with a nifty hands-on preview of the game.

According to the preview, the game has you playing as a character with the codename Vandal - who may or may not be Isaac - and it appears you will be running around on the mining ship Ishimura, again.

If we're looking at the screens correctly and not in our usual, visually challenged manner, the game looks a whole lot like the original Dead Space. Which, obviously, makes sense considering it's a "bridge" story.

You can check it all out for yourself through the link up top, which also chats a bit about the controls.

For those more interested in some console or PC action, Dead Space 2 also hits stores January 25 in the US. Europe gets it on January 28. The latest trailer for it can be found here.
