Dead or Alive: Dimensions' frame rate drops in 3D mode

Dead or Alive is all about the visuals, amirite, which makes it doubly disappointing to learn that the franchise's first 3D entry will drop to a sorry 30 frames per second when played with full stereoscopic effects. Aww.

When stereoscopic 3D is disabled, Dead or Alive: Dimensions will shoulder the series's usual 60fps, but only manage half that with all the handheld's bells and whistles applied.

According to Siliconera, Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi revealed the significant slow down to Famitsu.

Dimensions is due in Japan on March 24; see the game's five-minute trailer here.
