Dead or Alive 5: Last Round to introduce two new fighters

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round boasts the largest cast the series has fronted to date, including two new characters.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round was featured in this week's issue of Famitsu, giving a few new details.

As reported by Japanese blogs and translated by Siliconera, a new male and female character will appear in Last Round, neither of whom appear in earlier versions of Dead or Alive 5.

The female character is an all-new face, but it's not yet clear whether we've seen the bloke in earlier Dead or Alive games.

The Famitsu article also discussed the re-releases's new Soft Engine, which is designed to better depict the "softness" and "warmth" of the human body. Sigh.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is a PS4 and Xbox One re-release of the Team Ninja fighting game, and will also be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was previously known as Final Round.

Tecmo Koei has confirmed its coming west in northern spring 2015, and that you'll be able to transfer DLC from Dead or Alive 5. It is said to be the very last version of DoA5.

Thanks, Joystiq.
