DC Universe Online goes free-to-play on November 1

As reported by GamesRadar, SOE's confirmed that superhero MMO DC Universe online will be free-to-play from November 1.

It was announced the game was switching from a subs-only model in September, with the change originally slated to go live in October.

Subs and free access are to exist side-by-side from now on. Free players will have access to Gotham City and Metropolis, and all raids and alerts. They'll have the ability to buy extras, obviously.

If you spend more than $5 in-game, you'll become a Premium player, giving you more character slots, more inventory slots and bigger cash limits, with the ability to purchase more downloadable adventure packs, additional character slots and more.

Legendary players will get all the features and benefits from the previous two groups, as well as all DLC at no extra charge, more than 15 character slots, 80 inventory slots and the ability to form leagues with no size restrictions.

Becoming a Legendary player will set you back $15 a month.
