DC Universe Online gets Collector's Edition, Hamill and Conroy

dc universe online

SOE has announced a Collector's Edition for DC Universe Online exclusive for PC version, and it comes with a statue of the Dark Knight himself.

Also, to top that bit of nicety off, SOE's also announced Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy and other familiar names will be lending their voices to the MMO.

One thing at a time though - we know you're reeling - so let's start off with the Collector's Edition details first.

The CE comes with a 56-page "Art of DCUO" book, the first issue of the DC Universe Online: Legends comic, and the Batman statue mentioned above, wings out and ready to pounce. It will cost you $99.99.

Different outlets are also handing out pre-order bonuses for the standard edition, which vary from retailer to retailer. Some include in-game versions of DC Comic characters, limited edition books, and various other goodies, so you will want to check out all the options before you splurge.

The game is heading into Beta soon, so if you haven't signed up for it yet, you can through here.

Now, let's chat about Hamill and Conroy voicing The Joker and Batman, respectively. Good news, right? Well, it gets better.

Turns out, Adam Baldwin - the man you love to hate or hate to love, depending on his role - will be the voice of Superman; the lovely FireFly and 24 actress Gina Torres will lend her voice to Wonder Woman; James Marsters, a.k.a. Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, voices Lex Luthor; and Michelle Forbes (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Battlestar Galactica) will play Wonder Woman's adversary Circe.

"We’re excited that not only will Mark and Kevin bring their talent back to the DC Universe as part of DC Universe Online, but we’ve hit the jackpot with a full cast that are veterans of all the movies, TV shows, and games that our fans are crazy about,” said SOE VP of Development John Blakely in the press release.

"Several of these actors are recognized as the definitive voices for these characters, and will help us in creating an authentic and exciting experience for fans when they get in the game."

Lots of good news for DC fans, there.

DC Universe is slated for November on PC and PS3.
