DC Universe Online delayed until early 2011

dcuniverseonline

Sony Online Entertainment's announced it's holding back DC Universe Online, delaying the MMO until early next year.

It was originally due on November 2 in the US.

No exact reason is giving for delaying the game, but SOE president John Smedley says the extra time will "allow us to address community feedback in a meaningful way.

"When we get deeper into external beta, we'll be able to share more information regarding the new launch date."

SOE also announced, for North America only, anyone who has pre-ordered the MMO, or will do so before November 15 will have access to the beta by the end of November. Anyone who does pre-order after November 15 will get access to the beta a week before the game launches.

Anyone who wishes to get in without pre-ordering have a deadline of midnight PST tonight to get in.

Sony Online Entertainment also announced a Collector's Edition for DCUO on PS3, which will feature the same contents as the PC version of the CE.

Details of which you can get over at Joystiq.
