DayZ standalone: first footage released in new devblog

DayZ's standalone release is really happening, you guys, as this video of it in action confirms.

This is the first video developer diary Bohemia Interactive has released, and as project lead Dean "Rocket" Hall and production assistant Matt Lightfoot stress, it's very much a work in progress.

Nevertheless, it's already looking pretty good, and in the video you'll get to see new maps; the swamp biome; an expanded military base; a new island; the clothing system; and the new loot spawn system.

DayZ's standalone's PC release has not been dated, but a closed beta is on the way.
