Dave Cook joins VG247 as UK News Editor

Us news: award-winning journalist Dave Cook has joined VG247 as UK News Editor.

Cook, previously Games Editor at Imagine Publishing’s NowGamer, will play a pivotal role in VG247’s future growth, sitting alongside Editor Patrick Garratt, US News Editor Stephany Nunneley and Australian News Editor Brenna Hillier.

“We’re extremely pleased Dave has joined VG247,” said Patrick Garratt, VG247 Editor.

“He’s proved himself to be one of the Britain’s leading games journalism voices, and we’re greatly looking forward to better interfacing with both UK users and the UK trade.”

As well as taking on his new role on VG247, Cook will continue to write a weekly gaming column in The Scotsman, one of Scotland's longest-running national newspapers.

Cook won Best Regional Columnist at the Games Media Awards in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

He’s based in Bournemouth, England.
