Darkwood produces creepy new alpha trailer

Top-down horror roguelike Darkwood is approaching the end of its crowdfunding campaign, and the gameplay footage used to promote it is just getting better and better. By which I mean, more terrifying; see for yourself through the break.

Set in a procedurally-generated world, Darkwood is dedscribed by its three-man development team as an old school survival horror with RPG and roguelike elements. Currently in pre-alpha, it's already won a game jam award and is headed to Linux, Mac and PC - but has not been dated.

Acid Wizard Studio has raised over $25,000 since launching its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo but is hoping for at least $15,000 more, while a slew of different reward tiers. If you're keen to show support but don't have the funds, why not sling it a vote on Steam Greenlight? There's also a website packed with extra videos, screens and more.
