Darkest Dungeon is the definition of a video game Kickstarter success, bringing its bleak vision to life and even developing DLC with The Crimson Court. Sadly, this DLC isn't yet available for consoles, but it will be soon - Red Hook Studios has confirmed it will launch for PS4 and the Vita on August 22, 2017.

The core Darkest Dungeon game is a turn-based RPG where heroes don't just have to worry about fighting monsters - they also might go mad in the very attempt. The Crimson Court expansion integrates with the main campaign, introducing a new dungeon region, new monsters, the Flagellant hero class, additional Town buildings, and Blood Moon - a second New Game Plus mode.

Crimson Court has already been out on PC for about two weeks, and just received an impressive balance patch - an additional benefit for PS4 players once the console edition launches.

Good luck with The Crimson Court - you'll need it.
