Darkest Dungeon delayed on PS4 and Vita to add Town Events

Announced for a spring release prior to the PlayStation Experience last December, the team is adding extra content to the game and want to include it with the console launch.

This extra content is Town Events, something which has been in the works for a while now.

Town Events will add variety to the Hamlet during the campaign. Players will find when they return from an expedition, a chance thematic event will trigger in town.

The events can be related to quests, one example being the All Saints Day event. After successfully completing the Ruins Gather Holy Relics Quest, there's a high chance this event will trigger. This sends the Abbey "into a zealous celebration," and all treatments will be free for that week.

Town Events are scheduled for release in mid to late May, and the PS4 and Vita version of the game are now expected in late-July or August. Sickhead Games is helping the team out with the console and handheld ports.

The Red Hook Studios-developed title was a successful Kickstarter project and it is also now available for Linux users.

You can grab the game on Steam.
