Update

The North American Xbox Store has now confirmed what Australia leaked, and pulled yesterday.

There will be two versions of Dark Souls 3 offered digitally through the store.

The standard versions is just that, and will run you $59.99. It comes with a digital copy of Dark Souls which is backward compatible when you pre-order for a limited time.

A Digital Deluxe version will run you $84.99 and comes with the Season Pass, complete details of which are still unavailable, and a digital copy of Dark Souls which is backward compatible. Basically, this confirms what you already knew with US pricing thrown in for good measure.

Original Story

The Australian Xbox Store (via Reddit) has let slip a neat bonus for those getting Dark Souls 3 for Xbox One. A digital purchase of the upcoming title will get you a free copy of the original Dark Souls as a backwards compatible title.

Namco has yet to officially announce this, or the season pass details. Much like other game franchises that had a similar bonus, it's a limited-time offer, and your game will be delivered via a code in 7-10 days after purchase.

This is good news for those who owned the original game on Xbox 360, as it indicates it will soon be available to play on Xbox One, regardless of whether or not you're buying the latest iteration.

Dark Souls 3 is out April 12 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
