Daemon X Machina brings mech-based combat to Switch

Daemon X Machina is a brand-new mech game from the mind of Armored Core developer Kenichiro Tsukuda.

Nintendo's E3 presentation wasn't just about Super Smash Bros Ultimate or the new Fire Emblem - there were some new games for the Switch library as well. Perhaps the most explosive of these was Daemon X Machina, a mech combat simulator from Armored Core developer Kenichiro Tsukuda.

The trailer doesn't bother with nuanced concepts like character motivation or plot. Instead, the main focus is all about destroying enemy mechs, some of which are significantly bigger than your own personal unit.

According to Nintendo Daemon X Machina lets you equip a fully customizable mech, or "Arsenal", to destroy powerful enemy forces. You'll even be able to equip weapons from defeated enemies mid-match to adjust your combat strategy on the fly.

Daemon X Machina will launch for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019.
