Cyberpunk 2077 is probably not going to end up on Switch

Cyberpunk 2077 may not come to Nintendo Switch.

Now that we're one day away from the release of The Witcher 3 port on Nintendo Switch, fans of CD Projekt Red's work are beginning to wonder if the studio's next project, Cyberpunk 2077, is also going to come to Switch.

Gamespot caught up with CD Projekt's John Mamais at PAX Australia to ask him if there's a possibility for Cyberpunk 2077 to end up on Nintendo Switch.

"Who would have thought a game like The Witcher 3 would be possible on Switch, so who knows?" said Mamais. "I guess we'll see, if we decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not."

As Mamais pointed out, The Witcher 3 on Switch was, at one point, a dream many believed would never come true. Though reviews of the final build have yet to hit, previews have been very positive.

Perhaps a year or so from now, when the dust has settled on the main Cyberpunk 2077 versions, a third-party studio will step up and pitch a Switch port.

Until then, we can look forward to Cyberpunk 2077's release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 16.
