Crysis 3: "The hunted becomes the hunter," says Crytek

Players will trade places from being the hunted in Crysis 2 to being the one hunting down foes this time round in Crysis 3, Crytek creative development director Rasmus Højengaard has told VG247.

Højengaard said the new jungle aspect would open up more options to using stealth in the game this time round.

"One theme that we have going across the whole game is the hunted becomes the hunter," he told Sam Clay, speaking at EA's European Showcase last week in London.

"And all this is set in this urban rainforest literally, which means that giving the protagonist, who's the hunter, a bow. It's kind of an obvious thing and it fits really well and it's just cool.

"Also, on top of that, if you add the new feature of being able to fire the weapon while you're cloaked, which really branches out the potential of using stealth in the game as well."
