Crysis 3 not "ruled out" on Wii U just yet, says Crytek

Crysis 3 producer Mike Read has said it's possible the game could land on Wii U, as Cyrtek is "working with Nintendo" at present - but he wouldn't say what, exactly.

Speaking with CVG, Read said: "I wouldn't say there's no chance [for Crysis 3 on Wii U], I wouldn't say no chance. I mean the Wii U still doesn't have any kind of release attached to it at this point.

"Who knows what the future will bring with it. I can definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that's about all I can say on that front," he said.

"I wouldn't rule it out, but given that we're releasing Crysis in an eight month time period in February of 2013, we can't play off of what their schedules are. I wouldn't rule it out, but you know, it is a possibility."

Back in April, Crytek creative development director Rasmus Højengaard told D'toid there was “not a fat chance” the game will appear on Wii U, claiming he didn't "think it’s possible," and it wasn't "on the cards to do a Wii U version."

Crysis 3 hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in February 2013.
