Crusader Kings 2: The Old Gods takes in a very different Europe

Crusader Kings 2: The Old Gods is an unusual expansion, pushing the game's start date back to 867 AD. It's a historical period many of us are less familiar with, and in a new developer post, lead designer Henrik Fåhraeus describes a fledgling Christian and Muslim world surrounded by tribes of "heathens" - all of whom are playable. Take control of the Vikings, Tartars or Magyar and change history, or even promote the interests of the Orthodox church. The dev diary can be found on the Paradox forums and is the first in a weekly series. Crusader Kings 2: The Old Gods was announced in February for a second quarter release, exclusively on PC; check out some new screens through the break.
