Crimson Dragon: Side Story available on Windows Phone 7

You can't yet have Crimson Dragon, nor even its demo, but you can have this mobile spin off.

Crimson Dragon: Side Story is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up for Windows Phone 7. Using touch controls, players can guide their dragon's vertical movements and shoot at enemies.

Developed by Grounding, the same team as the core Kinect game, it boasts some of the same features - the ability to breed different kinds of dragons and over 170 skills with which to customise them.

Grab it for 99¢ from the Windows Phone store. A free trial is also available.

Crimson Dragon itself was expected in August and then unaccountably delayed; an accidental demo release this week suggests the Xbox Live exclusive shooter may be finally approaching launch.

Thanks, Siliconera.
