Counterfeit Nintendo games seller pleads guilty, made over £600,000 in illicit sales
UK resident Justin Success Brooks has been charged with selling counterfeit Nintendo games, according to the Croydon Guardian.
The 41-year-old was busted during an investigation conducted by Nintendo and UKIE, which purchased games from outlets suspected of selling counterfeit games.
The investigation eventually led UKIE and Nintendo to the culprit.
Brooks has been accused of selling thousands of counterfeit DS, DSi and Wii titles during 2009 to 2011 garnering £600,000 ($960,720) in the process.
Crime apparently pays, but only for a while it seems.
Brooks has plead guilty to: "two counts of fraudulent trading, two counts of supplying an article to use in fraud, two counts of unauthorized possession of goods bearing a trademark and one count of unauthorized use of a trademark."
He currently awaits sentencing, which is to occur on November 9.
