Control release date leaks then gets confirmed
Control, Remedy's anticipated sci-fi shooter, is coming out in August.
The Control release date has yet to be properly announced, but TrueAchievements spotted two new pages for the game on the Microsoft Store database.
The store page for the pre-order edition was even live at one point, but that's no longer true. In any case, they all mention an August 27 release date, with pre-orders going live next week.
Since this discovery, Remedy confirmed to Shacknews that the date is indeed accurate. Given that all versions of the game will be out on the same day, that means PC, and PS4 players also get Control on August 27.
Remedy previous said Control will be released this summer, and August 27 is certainly a summer date.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Control, along with a few other anticipated games, will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC for a year.
