Contrast trailer visits the shadows backstage

Compulsion Games explains the origins and development of its gorgeous puzzle platformer Contrast in the behind the scenes video through the break.

The trailer is narrated by director Guillaume Provost, set designer Joshua Mills and visual designer Whitney Clayton, and goes into detail on the vaudevillian 1920s aesthetic and jazz soundtrack.

Contrast's key gimmick is the relationship between its two protagonists - Didi, a young girl going through a rough patch at home, and her imaginary friend, dawn. Players explore the 3D world as Didi then send Dawn cavorting through 2D shadows.

Contrast is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, PS4 and Xbox 360 in mid-November. It will be a PS4 launch title, and free to PS Plus subscribers.
