Conan Exiles full release sees concurrent player numbers rocket back up to last year's peak

Conan Exiles was back in Steam's top 10 most played games this week, coming close to its peak concurrent player count.

After 15 months in Early Access, Conan Exiles got a full release last week and its concurrent player count has rocketed back up to almost peak numbers, following a massive dip in July last year.

GitHyp reports that the title was in Steam's top 10 most played games yesterday, and after losing 95% of its players following a peak of 53k concurrent players in its fist month on Early Access, the audience has come flocking back.

Last week saw the game's concurrent player count shoot up to 49k.

Conan Exiles managed to sell one million copies ahead of its full release. A ton of features have been added as Funcom refined the gameplay and mechanics over the past year, and two new biomes were added at launch.

Funcom has another Conan game planned, but its priority for now is Conan Exiles.

"We’re planning another Conan game, but full production won’t start until after Conan Exiles," the studio said last year. "Our plans are to continue supporting Conan Exiles after launch, but first we need to concentrate on having the best launch possible.

“We will make sure it is good and ready before we do anything else.”
