  1. After wrapping up a Fallout: New Vegas DLC achievements run (never played those back in the day) I'm on the excellent Jedi Survivor with some Dead Island 2 co-op sprinkled in.

  2. Rule Of Rose (Steam Deck) and Sniper Elite 5 co-op.

    1. Rebellion games are co-op royalty so enjoy that! I'm hoping we get Zombie Army 5 soon.

      1. It's nice to play a game with proper stealth mechanics as they're pretty much extinct these days in the AAA space.

        1. Agreed. And Sniper Elite 4 and 5, on sniper elite difficulty, really shine in that regard. You discover how well designed the levels are with multiple paths and ways through the level. The sniper academy in 5 is unreal in that regard.

        2. I have Sniper Elite 4 aswell from a sale a while back and have never touched it. I'll have to play it after.

  3. Immortals of Aveum in-between Populous New Beginning sessions. New meets old I guess. I did play Little Kitty, Big City... and it was a adorable little diversion.

    1. Are you enjoying Immortals? I got it with PS Plus but haven't tried it yet. My kids LK,BC to the point they want to see me take a crack at it. I may give it some time this afternoon for their entertainment.

      1. It reminds me of those experimental launch titles when a new generation starts. It's fairly linear, but they let you fully explore those environments. If you see a ledge you think you could reach? You probably can. Sure enough... there's a treasure chest.

The combat... is like a tamer Doom. Once you travel through the pretty environments you can see what looks like an arena room ahead. Sure enough... here comes the baddies. The combat is divided into three forms of combat. Close, ranged and rapid. This is reductionist, but... shotgun, DMR and SMG. Just... magic versions. So not strictly like bullets. The blast of the close range attack is just that... more of a blast wave that also pushes. Not pellets.

Enemies will have some resistances and abilities you need to counter for. Like someone casting a shield to protect archers...(I'm on PC) I have to use 1 to blast them with a shield breaking ability while juggling everything else coming at me.

I'm getting a lot of money to "buy" items. You can equip rings, gloves etc. I haven't actually gotten to a store yet to give you an idea how early I am. I see all these portal gates around that are currently locked. Making me think they'll give me a reason to revisit these areas later.

There is a fairly freeform skill tree. Letting you focus on enhance your favorite stuff. So if you like the DMR magic... you can focus it. It's all color coded magic so you tend to want to adapt to whatever color you're going against.

Story so far is... passable. I sort of like the vibe of the world at least.

        1. Sounds like a perfectly acceptable action game that unfortunately came out in one of the most competitive years of all time. I'm down to try soon.

  4. On my phone mostly, like it has been the case from quite some time now, Marvel snap, Monster Hunter now, torchlight, diablo inmortal, knighthood and honkai.

The bit I play on consoles is for overwatch 2, and Warframe.

  5. All I have played for the past two - three months has been Final Fantasy. Bouncing between the excellent FFXVI, FFVII Rebirth and Final Fantasy XIV online.
