Codemasters to hold job recruitment fair in Liverpool next week

Codemasters plans to hold a recruitment fair in Liverpool next week in order to fill 100 development positions in Birmingham, Guildford, and Warwickshire.

Personally, we'd try to get on at the one in Warwickshire, if it were us, just because we like the area.

Anyway, our geographical preferences aside, the job fair takes place next Wednesday, November 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located in the Liverpool-John Lennon Airport at 1:00pm, which is also a day ahead of the Develop Conference in Liverpool.

Codemasters Birmingham's studio manager Alex McLean will be on-hand, as well as F1 senior producer Paul Jeal, chief games designer Stephen Hood, and technical director David Percival.

Codemasters' Central Technology division will be recruiting as well, with manager Chris Brunning and chief technology officer Bryan Marshall available to chat. Art and animation managers will be on-hand, so will the Racing Studio team, along with senior programmers and designers.

"This is an open introduction to Codemasters, its studios, products, people and the opportunities we can offer in the market," said Codemasters HR fellow Simon Miles.

"The UK talent pool is amongst the best in the world and although this is a tough time in the industry, there are still great examples of UK achievements. Codemasters is one of the companies in a fantastic position to expand and build the AAA games for the future."

A complimentary bar service for social networking will follow the event, so there's reason enough to go right there even if you're not looking for a job.
