Civilization 6 is changing how cities work

Civilization 6 was announced last month, and looks to be making some smart changes from what Civ 5 offered.

The 'Unstacking Cities' trailer explains how cities can now be expanded with districts, with will build out from your home tile. Districts can be specialized for specific tasks - an education district, for instance, will develop a library, then a university, then a research lab as time goes on (as long as your civilization makes the appropriate discoveries).

Some civilizations will have unique districts that no other civilizations can construct. Districts can also earn bonuses based on smart placement, or may require certain surrounding conditions.

Civilization 6 releases on October 21 for PC.
