Civilization 6 is free this week on the Epic Games Store

The latest game to be made available for free on the Epic Games Store is Civilization 6.

Civilization 6 is free on the Epic Games Store from today through May 28, when it will be replaced by a mystery title.

In case you aren't familiar with it, the game is a turn-based strategy 4X title which was developed by Firaxis Games. It is the latest entry in the series and features new civilizations as well as returning favorites.

The game's first expansion was Rise and Fall, followed by Gathering Storm, and the latest content update is The New Frontier Pass, which was released today.

The next game to be made available for free is unknown for now, but all will be revealed next week.

Last week, the free game was GTA 5 and there were so many folks downloading it, the store and website crashed for a while. The influx of players also impacted the GTA Online servers.
