What's more, it seems we have Joss Whedon to blame for Marcus Fenix's troubles after he told Cliff Bleszinski that Buffy the Vampire slayer was at its best when Buffy suffered. Bleszinski realised this was true of Fenix's story and doubled down on the torment.
There's also a nice reminder about the Carmine Xbox avatar t-shirts that I totally forgot about. My avatar wore her Save Carmine t-shirt with pride and he was indeed spared - although you can take a look at the unused alternate ending that shows his rather hilarious demise.
