Cheap Ass Gamer, a prime destination for video game deals, was recently hacked and defaced.

Cheap Ass Gamer, a video game deals website that's been around for years, was hacked in the last 48 hours. The site's homepage was defaced, with the top header displaying a "why are you here?" message.

Strangely, the homepage later displayed personal details of a person the hackers claim is a child molester. Here's what it used to show, as captured by NeoGAF.

The site has since been taken offline and now displays the following message: "We're making some essential improvements to the site, and hope to have everything up and running by 10am PST/1pm EST. Thanks for your patience!"

It's unclear at this time what user details, if any, were compromised. We'll update the story when more information is released.
