Channel 4 announces "Draw It!" gameshow based on Zynga's Draw Something

UK-based station Channel 4 has announced a new gameshow called "Draw It!" which has been created in collaboration with Draw Something owners Zynga. The show will adapt the format of the app and will see two teams battling for cash prizes

In a press release sent to VG247 today, Channel 4 confirmed it was developing the show with Victory Television after striking a deal with Zynga.

The format is described as follows:

Two teams, made up of one contestant and one celebrity, go head to head as they battle out three rounds of drawing challenges. Against the clock, teams will need to be quick and tactful as they play for the all-important gold coins – the contestant with the least amount of coins after three rounds will be eliminated.

To win the cash, the remaining contestant will join forces with both celebrities for the final round, which will test their sketching skills against a 90 second clock. If the celebrities identify five drawings correctly, we have a winner but if they fail, the cash is locked and rolls over to the next show.

Managing dirctor of Victory Television Victoria Ashbourne said of the announcement, "We're very excited to work with Channel 4 to produce a brand new show inspired by one of the biggest hits in app history to date. There's a creative side to everyone, sometimes more obvious than others, and the show will really tap into that with a race against the clock and plenty of humour."
