  • Perfect World opens console MMO division

    Perfect World has expanded to include a console division, the Neverwinter and Star Trek Online publisher announced today. “Targeting current and next-gen consoles”, the new division will release both “current and future games from Perfect World Entertainment’s suite of developers”, so ports seem quite possible. The free-to-play MMO specialist promised more information in 2014.

    Perfect World Entertainment has reported Q3 FY 13 earnings of $136.2 million in revenue, compared to $114.2 million year-on-year. Profits came in at $19.8 million compared to $14.2 million year-over-year.   • Champions Online Lifetime Subscriber rewards now available

    Champions Online players can now become a lifetime subscriber which nets the customer access to all Veteran Rewards. Recently, Cryptic Studios updated the Veteran Rewards system, and once a player goes lifetime, they too can instantly receive exclusive items like the Avian Warrior and Glowing Tights Costume sets, along with extra costume and character slots.   • Star Trek Online Season 8: The Sphere is live

    Star Trek Online Season 8: The Sphere is live. The free content update adds the Solanae Dyson Sphere allowing travel into the Delta Quadrant using the Iconian Gateway.

    Perfect World Entertainment has announced its getting into mobile games development and publishing, and is aiming for a 20% success ratio. The firm said it plans to focus on the core audience, by looking to create or publish action-RPG, strategy, trading card, MMORPG, and MOBA games.
