Capcom is using a 'life-size' Lady Dimitrescu to promote Resident Evil Village

Capcom is really playing up to the massive height of Lady Dimitrescu (no pun intended) to promote Resident Evil Village in Hong Kong.

The towering 9′ 6″ vampire, Lady Dimitrescu, has been making headlines for Resident Evil Village, and now Capcom is really leaning into the surprising popularity of the internet's favorite giant woman.

As per a Facebook post from Capcom Asia, the publisher is starting to publicize the game by sending out 'life-size', to-scale cutouts of Village's primary antagonist (thanks, TheGamer).

If you've ever wanted to feel just how small you'd feel beside the terrifying – yet oddly captivating – woman, you might just want to seek out one of these cutouts yourself (or waiting to see if similar cutouts come West).

It's not the first time the character's height has been used in marketing materials, either – in a PlayStation Japan video, a super-imposed version of the villain stood tall next to hosts Hatsune Matsushima and Kayo Satoh, giving us another insight into just how imposing she is compared to more reasonably-sized humans.

“I don’t think anyone [on the team] could have predicted how wonderfully fans have reacted to Lady Dimitrescu,” Tomonori Takano, Resident Evil Village’s art director, recently revealed in an interview with IGN. “Personally, I was particularly struck by comments like, ‘I want to be chased by her.'”

Initial confusion about fans' thirst for the lady notwithstanding, it appears Capcom has finally accepted that Lady Dimitrescu is a pretty big draw for people in the game, and is leaning into her appeal in a big way.

Resident Evil Village is out May 7 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
