Capcom refuses to be drawn on Resi 5 date

Capcom UK has refused to comment on overnight reports that Resident Evil 5 is to release this October.

"We have not announced a release date for Resident Evil 5," said a spokesperson.

The reports, taken from EGM and PSU, rumoured that the spectacular-looking zombie game would see light of day in October 2008, a rumour reiterated from a previous Surfer Girl story.

European sources, however, are pointing to the contrary. As one senior retailer put it, "Please. Do you think they'd go up against Gears 2?"

We don't care when it's coming out. For something that looks as good as Resi 5, we're more than willing to wait.
