Capcom and Nyu Media bringing Japanese indie games westward 

Capcom has announced a partnership with Nyu Media to localize Japanese indie games for the Western market. Titles are to be distributed via Steam, Direct 2 Drive, Impulse, and others for PC.

The first title to be released is Astro Port's Satazius, described by Gamespot as a "Gradius-like side-scrolling shoot-'em-up."

It will run you $5.99 and will be made available on December 20. A video of the game in action is posted below.

Other releases, coming in early 2012, include: Atelier773's Cherry Tree High Comedy Club, Edelweiss' Ether Vapor Remaster and Fighting Fairy (working title); and Tennen-sozai's eXceed 2nd– Vampire Rex and eXceed 3rd– Jade Penetrate Black Package.
