Call of Duty WW2: Sledgehammer Games has improved connectivity and disabled leaderboards to make the game stable

Call of Duty WW2, like every Call of Duty before it, is extremely popular - and developer Sledgehammer Games is working to make sure that everyone is able to enjoy it.

Predictably, a lot of people have jumped in on Call of Duty WW2 since its launch last week. This caused connectivity issues galore for day one customers, a lot of whom encountered error code 103295 when they tried to play the game online.

It marred the game's launch somewhat, even after it received plenty of positive reviews. But now players are able to jump online without issue (if you're going to do so, by the way, it's worth reading up on the game's loot box system), and Sledgehammer has put out a statement explaining the behind-the-scenes work that went into making this happen.

"At launch, we experienced an extremely high volume of players connecting to our servers in a very short window", the post reads. "This resulted in players experiencing mixed online connectivity across all platforms. In response, we pushed a change enabling higher capacity load balancers, resulting in improved live connectivity."

They've also switched off leaderboards for now, and had HQ, the digital lobby for online matches, a solo experience until they can tighten things up a bit. "This has resulted in improved live connectivity and the best in-match experience for fans", they promise.

They also acknowledge that a few players lost progress, and apologise for it. "We realize losing progression is very frustrating", the post reads. "We are committed to making it up to the affected players. Please stay tuned for further updates here."

Hopefully, with these launch day issues behind it, fans can go back to enjoying the latest Call of Duty. The game is available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
